Matekai Lawrence Karka is a prolific writer, author and seasoned communications professional with expertise in strategic crisis communication, media management and public relations.
He has held several high-profile governmental roles, including Special Assistant to the Pioneer President of the ECOWAS Court of Justice and Special Adviser on media and publicity to Senator Grace Bent CON (four-year term). He also served as Senior Legislative Aide on online media to the President of the 7th Senate and Special Adviser on Media to the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development.
Lawrence represented Nigeria at the 2013 UN General Assembly as special adviser on women’s affairs and the Child Rights Act. He has served as Head of Social Media Africa and as a member of the Advisory Board of the London School of African Entrepreneurship and Leadership Studies.
